White Fang

On a recent visit to Ketchikan, Alaska I found him and his master waiting for tourists who are eager to take pictures with him and earn his keep (see the dollar bills tucked in his collar). I took a pic of him but did not come any closer. And I thought I've seen everything that would make the tourist part with his money. This is new.

  1. That is one handsome dog. Pero parang kawawa naman ang itsura, nakatali lang siya doon.

  2. What is it with Americans about tucking dollar bills?

It puts the poor dog on a par with pole-dancers; I find the idea somewhat noxious.

  6. They give him money to have a picture taken with him? That's definitely a first for me too. But what a handsome dog he is!

  7. That's a great looking dog. He must be used to all the attention from strangers.

  8. You went to Alaska? I'm green, green, green.

That's one of my dream dogs. A couple of our neighbours have them. I wanted to have my photo taken with them but I get shy hehe.

Next is a Great Dane. Labrador din sana, but when I saw that they're very common here they didn't seem as appealing to me anymore.

With our condo and winter (imagine you have to take those dogs out for a walk even in dead winter 2 times a day!) we just settled for a cat :)
