Sky Watch #20

IMG_0091, originally uploaded by airam94564.

This week's hunt for sky watch entry was quite difficult for me because I am currently running a FLORAL PARADE series thatI did not want to stop.

So last night (Wednesday here) I furiously browse through my many picture folders to scour for one that would be good for Skywatch.

And I stumbled upon this shot as I was watching Larry King interview Sarah Palin, I was doing double duty again. Anyway, I thought this shot had enough sky to clear the requirements for an entry, although the tulips is a frank give-away that it's a spring time snap. Then I remember some of our colleagues in the Skywatch group hail from land down under and isn't it still spring where they are?

So here's my entry for this week, my 20th, TULIPS UNDER THE SPRINGTIME SKY.

For more sky snaps from all over the world and/or to join this wonderful meme, visit Skywatch page. I forgot to extend my congratulations to Louise who joined the "board of directors" last week. I am really happy with that decision.

I love this shot. Tulips against a soft blue sky are about as good as it gets. I also spy some poppies I believe which go so well with tulips.

I don't think it matters too much when the shot was taken. Or even where for that matter. Besides, I doubt anybody's going to give you any grief over a shot like this one!

I love tulips against the sky! We have too many obstructions here between sky and flowers. It is very cheery on this gray autumn day.

Tulips are always a good choice, I cannot but say this, because I am an inhabitant of a tulip country. Only I have to wait to march to see mine reappearing in my garden.

What a wonderful reminder of what awaits me in about 6 months after the snow!!! A beautiful Sky Watch!

No need to apologize about presenting that shot ? Angle and colors are perfect, and we all need, in North hemisphere, to have a little more sunlight before entering in winter.

(you were watching Sarah Palin! Wednesday? rerun? this is ancient history, now : )
