Sky Watch #28

IMG_0094, originally uploaded by airam94564.

Continuing with our exploration of Carson City by foot, I instantly noticed this beautiful building. It is the Paul Laxalt State Building that houses the Nevada Commission on Tourism.

Don't be fooled by the blue sky, there was rain not long after we took this.

It's SkyWatch time again and if you're a pro on this, you know that to see skyscapes from all over the world, you have to check this out, the skywatch page.

You're so dedicated... always my first sky watch visit, each week.

I love this building. I am always struck by the charming architecture of older structures. They just don't put that kind of effort into buildings anymore... just styrofoam. I see the nimbus sky creeping in.

Great looking place Maria. Like the clock in this shot.

It does look as if it was getting darker to the left of the frame. At this time of year I would rather have a rain shower than the snow and cold we are having. Good sky watch Friday.

I see some stormy-looking clouds over in the left corner, but it looks like a perfect 'moment before"!

Since when could anyone predict the weather anyway?

I love the red against the blue though. nice contrast!

As much as I love nature shots, I also love photos of buildings against bold skies. This is very nice...I see blue skies on the right and possible rain clouds on the left...

I think you are not the only buried in snow - and all I can add, your blue sky looks perfect on my frozen (with real, like a mirror ice)day. Bye and greetings from Croatia.

The architects must have had some churches in mind when the designed that one.

PS The photo is evidence that the sky was blue when you took it - that is what is important.

This reminds me of buildings in Connecticut. Beautiful!

Interesting building from another era. So much more class than some of the modern replacements.

Lovely sky! I'd think rain over Carson City might be a good thing, isn't it?

Rain or not blue skies and green grass is better than freezing ice on my site! Brrr...how nice to warm up here!

Beautiful building against the lovely blue sky. The sky is indeed deceptive if it rained soon afterwards.
Happy SWF.
Have a great weekend.

Nice blue sky, rain coming or not and a very neat building.

The brick red works well against the sky.

(I like what you have to say at the top of your blog. As a photographer by profession I appreciate not everyone is and we should just enjoy the images not analyse or judge)

I really like the color contrast. That's a cool old building and what we call a bluebird sky.

Beautiful building and great shot of it. It's too bad they don't build buildings like that anymore. At least there are still some around for us to enjoy, though. Enjoy the day and thanks for visiting my SWF image.

So many newer buildings are uniform blocks of glass and concrete. This building has lots of character. Thanks for visiting and commenting on my blog.

Such a beautiful blue sky, and a great building! It does look as though the rain was on the way, though... at least it was not the snow and COLD that we are getting right now. :) Happy weekend!

It's a beautiful building. Nice to see the contrast with the sky.
The grey clouds on the left must have brought the rain, I guess ...
