You must be asking what does a bloom from a succulent had to do with the theme, right? Okay here goes the story:
Most of the images I feature here are SOOC (straight out of camera). And sometimes I crop a bit, or auto fix a bit. Shame on me and my three or four photo editing software (none of them was a PhotoShop) for not utilizing them.
So one day, I got this totally washed out image of a succulent that I was going to delete because it was completely crappy. But before I hit delete, I thought I'd use it as a guinea pig to test the buttons on my software. And just when I decided to remove almost all the gamma, this was the result. Boy was I surprised! I loved how dramatic it turned out. Not only did I not delete the image, I showcased it for photo hunt theme of surprise.

I love succulent flowers. Brief and glorious
That sounds like me, the queen of cropping and autofix. But those programs do have so much more if we would take the trouble to explore a bit.
Happy weekend to you.
hey that is really beautiful. I wonder what will that looks like when it blooms?
mine is up too.
happy Weekend
first word that came out of my mouth when i saw the picture was: oh, WOW!
it is gorgeous!
I, too, generally am a fan of SOOC. (And for the record, that's the case with all the photos I've taken and put up on the blog.) But have to say: this altered photo sure turned out to be a beauty! :)
That is nice and you were about to destroy it... I loved the photo stuff on my old computer... but not so much on the new one. I need to play around more... maybe I could save more photos... Good post!

It looks lovely, and not photo-shopped at all.

A great effect. Nice job resurrecting this shot.
That was indeed a great find. By the way, thanks for dropping in earlier. I really needed some comfort. It's hard to let go of someone you love.
