So Long Patrick

While I don't really consider Patrick Swayze as a favorite, I love watching three of his movies over and over, DIRTY DANCING, RED DAWN, and GHOST. And I love his song, SHE'S LIKE THE WIND, from Dirty Dancing. The lyrics below rang true for me. A million years ago, there was a boy who was just out of my league. So long Patrick, rest in peace.

Feel her breath on my face
Her body close to me
Can't look in her eyes
She's out of my league
Just a fool to believe
I have anything she needs
She's like the wind

  1. My heart has ached all day for this loss, Maria. He WAS one of my favorites, though we saw too little of him. He will always be most remembered for "Dirty Dancing" and "Ghost." In fact, I plan to watch them both again this week!

  3. Touching! Sad to see him go still young. I do love "She's like the Wind" too. But it's the movie "Ghost" that's really unforgettable for me.

  5. I didn't knew him, although I have seen him on the movie a lot of times. It was my husband who explained to me who he was.
May He rest in the kingdom of God.

  7. It is amazing how his films so much fixed in our memory of that period of time in our life. The mention"dirty Dancing" or "Ghost", I think most people will immediately remember what year in their life that they saw the movie. You have a marvelous photo to commemorate him.
