Photo Hunt #61: Bags

When I saw that one of the themes was bags, I knew exactly what to show. I was going to show bags. Bags that I saw on my travel to Bangladesh's historical place of Panam City. They had an on-going open air market of fair, which they called mela. The bags are really beautifully crafted. Since Bangladesh and India used to be one country, the design is similar to those Indian bags and accessories one sees at Cost Plus World Market or Pier One Imports. I don't need to tell you that I took home three or four of them. Not from this mela though as my companions, all locals, have advised me that only tourists - that would be me - buy from this overpriced place.

Here is a close up shot of some of the bags. I just love this type of designs.

Great looking bags! They do remind me of bags I bought in a rural village in India earlier this year. Very cheap too!

I like the close up shot. The bags are a fine work. I hope to visit India (if not Bangladesh or Nepal) someday.
