Before we left for our November Europe tour, I deemed it necessary (yes you read that right) to get another point and shoot camera as a back-up to the one I am using and to the bigger one my husband is using. I don't know how I convinced my husband to spend another $100+ on something that is truly not necessary, but I did.
So I went to Costco and got the Nikon Coolpix which was on sale the week before our departure. And this image was the result of testing it out. Taken from our front yard. I know I should have done some cropping here, mea culpa.

I think you deeming it necessary makes it needed. Great shot with it, love the soft tones.
You MUST see "Twister". I deem it necessary. ;o) What? It worked for you...

PC: Brilliant capture of the golden sky photo.
Beautiful layers of gold and black. And I agree - of course it was necessary to have a back up! Hope you enjoy it!
Janice.
That's a fantastic shot and the sky is so beautiful. Great job with your new camera.
Golden indeed! I love this photo!
Greetings:)
Please keep the original. I think cropping will the picture injustice unless it is necessarily for other purpose. What a fitting title. Been thinking about my own state of mind. :)
So striking!
I've heard good things about that camera!
For a point and shoot, Nikon didn't fail you. Kudos!
Beautiful golden low.
Gold Glow with trees silhouetted against the sky
Don't get much better than this for a peaceful end of the day shot.
Oh I love it just the way it is... an expanse of gold!
Just Glorious~

I think it's quite lovely. Of course you needed another camera, and obviously your husband saw that as well.
Looking forward to seeing what else you capture with it.
Beautiful sky shot.
That's amazing! It looks like it could be somewhere in the desert. I just bought a point and shoot too. I almost bought the Nikon but got the little Canon instead. I haven't downloaded any of my test shots yet; hope they turn out as good as yours!

Your photos are amazing.
Don't even think mea culpa, I think it is beatiful as it is and it would have been a pity to miss any bit of it.
I'm guessing that means you're a very happy camper, Maria. :)
