I can't remember how long we stayed and explored Acropolis. But somehow, it was time to move on with the itinerary, like we have one. This sign really left me grinning. I suppose if you are in ACROpolis, the sign would definitely say WAY DOWN and not just down, right :D
I saw the crowd - probably the guided tours - and thanked my lucky stars that we came in early and practically had the temples all to ourselves. 
I saw another sign - a sign that I wanted to see. We wanted to see the Agora - I thought it was a big fat marketplace. Boink on me and my ignorance of Grecian history. 
I'm sure there's some historical significance to this path, but this leads to the ancient agora. Will continue with the ruins of the agora.

boy the place certainly looked crowded with tourists... When we went to the Acropolis looked like we missed Agora !
whoa! i think every must-see sight is always crowded, ^0^ can;t wait for Agora!
btw, about your china ques, yes, we booked on a package tour, easier and cheaper, i think it's hard to go backacking, language is a barrier, plus, a lot of "bad" people, ^-^ and not familiar with the city itself. ^0^

that's a lot of things to see. ooops, i also thought that "agora" was a market, blame it on my poor history memory! :D and backpacking is always the best when traveling! :D

The Acropolis and Agora are fascinating places, but I don't think I would like all the crowds. I look forward to seeing more of your pictures.
There would always be graffiti every where. At least you can make out what the sign says.

WOW, impressive pictures, I was in Greece in Sept 1976 with my mom, we did a 10 day tour with a guide to all these places.
