An Accidental Tour of Phoenix
We were flying into Phoenix this summer to catch our connecting flight to Cancun. My window seat had given me a front seat view of the city from up there as the plane prepares to land.
It excited me to see the roof of the D'Backs' ballpark, Chase Field formerly known as Bank One Ballpark, and that I thought we were flying too close to it.
Have you been to Phoenix? What is there to see and enjoy?
Great shots. Good thing you got the window seat! That's a quite the close up of the stadium. It's interesting to see it from that perspective. Some of my relatives live in Chandler, near Phoenix, so I've been there often. It's a fun place to visit if it's not mid summer! I've always wanted to be there during one of those sandstorms that they get. So far I've missed out! Happy T'giving...
I don't remember Phoenix from the air, Maria, though we did fly in and out of it for our drive to Sedona a couple years ago. But I do have happy memories from on the ground, especially at Hard Rock Cafe. :)
haha, now this will come us a surprise to you, i've never been there but only one thing i could think of... Medium.( tv series ). i love how Alison Dubois solves her case bec. of her special abilities.
Great shots! But i have to admit I'm not much of a fan of the desert. I grew up in the S. Cal desert and the landscape looks like phoenix but a lot more rural. I was in Phoenix last summer and it was 114-117 for the 4 days I was there.

I have never been to Phoenix but I enjoyed your landing sequence!
Great view and shots!
Great view from your seat and great shots you've taken!
Such a neatly laid-out city!
A one of a kind viewpoint!
That's the reason why I like to fly in the window seat. My camera guides me.

Those are really great aerial shots! Awesome!
Never been to Phoenix. It's not the cityscape though but the surrounding hills that intrigued me.
Your seat is just perfect for taking photos. Yan yung mga gusto kong pwesto.
great shots :)
typical desert environment just like Vegas :)
I've been to Phoenix, many years ago...visiting a Frisbee(flying disc)friend. Great view from the window seat ;)
I like moments before the plane is landing like this, especially when the sky is clear. Marvelous aerial view of the city.
