Nevada City, CA

Twenty-eight miles north of Auburn lies the old goldmining town of Nevada City. The city consists all of 2.1 sq mi - packed with shopping, eating, and pretty as a button architecture. It's a perfect day trip destination.

What a charming place...I love the little blue building on the slope! My camera and I could have a wonderful day there, indeed...I suspect there are many places to stop for tea and watch the world go by...:)

I bet this place is full of gawking tourists all the time, which could be annoying for the people lucky enough to live there.

Very praiseworthy to maintain buildings to the standard in your pics. Nice pictures all round.

i love everything about this place esp. the architecture.
It's not crowded, but just slow-paced, run of the mill usual thing. what a good place to unwind.

What a charming, quaint town. And that old hotel looks quite interesting. I wonder how maintained it is. I enjoy old historical towns such as this.

You got some nice pictures, when we were last there it was for the Victorian Christmas and you couldn't see anything but people.
