Nevada City, CA
Twenty-eight miles north of Auburn lies the old goldmining town of Nevada City. The city consists all of 2.1 sq mi - packed with shopping, eating, and pretty as a button architecture. It's a perfect day trip destination.
The vivid blue National Hotel is one of the oldest continuously operating hotels west of the Rocky Mountains.
Nevada City Firehouse 2 is a neo-classical revival style building that was built in 1860 and added to the National Register of Historic Places on May 3, 1974.
This is my entry for this week's WINDOW VIEWS AND DOORS TOO (#60).

ReplyDeleteWhat a charming place...I love the little blue building on the slope! My camera and I could have a wonderful day there, indeed...I suspect there are many places to stop for tea and watch the world go by...:)
