We Interrupt Regular Programming For A Little Poem

Desiderata is my favorite poem. I first heard of it from my brother. At 12 years my senior, he was a voracious reader. He would read to me, quiz me on spelling and other grammatical usage (which if you've been following this blog hadn't been useful at all - what with all the outrageous grammatic errors I make) and just share information with me.

Desiderata, which in Latin means desired things, was written in 1927 by an American, Max Ehrmann. It remained unknown, until it was included in a compilation of devotional materials by Rev. Frederick Kates, rector of St. Paul's Church in Baltimore, MD in 1959.

I have finally gotten me a DSLR *clap* *clap* *clap*. Only photo #5 is taken by a point and shoot camera. Photo #8 is a drive-by shooting.

Oh I heart my new camera :)
