A Brief Glimpse of Playa Del Carmen
Because of the time constraints, our time in Playa (as it is fondly called) was very limited to coming and going, although as part of the "going" we were able to sit down for a meal in one of the local restaurants. Unfortunately, we don't have any usable images.
However, here are the photos we took while coming to Playa del Carmen.
A 40-minute ferry ride from Cozumel with very reliable schedule.
Resorts line the beach.
OUR WORLD TUESDAY
SIGNS
Hi Maria, you already know that your photos always make me envious, not only of the trips but also the photos. That was a very lovely color for a cruiseship. And yours are so vivid and detailed considering that you're moving while taking the shots. Am drooling with envy!
ReplyDeleteWow, those resorts look huge! I think I prefer the Tulum beach. Aside from the ruins, it also looks quieter.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a prime vacation destination!
ReplyDeleteYou've given us a fine glimpse into this wonderful place. I especially like the water quality in the shot with the most ocean showing. Very good post.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots. It looks so colorful.
ReplyDeleteYou asked about leftover tobacco smells at the renovated warehouse. When the renovation began, before the hard wood floors were sanded and polished there was a lingering tobacco odor. However, by the time the renovation was completed and the offices went in, I didn't notice it any more. The building is one that the company I worked for renovated to use for offices so I followed the progress. The first building I worked in when I used to commute was across the street and used to be a factory for BC headache powder. They'd already been in the old BC building a few years before I started working for them. I've gone to meetings in all of the buildings they've renovated so it's interesting to follow the progress.
Would love to walk along that beach and splash in the water.

ReplyDeleteThe water looks so inviting but then I just wish I could travel back during the time of the conquistadors and see the undeveloped beaches they saw then.

It looks soooooo inviting! I particularly like your viewpoint/perspective of image 6, and how it leads the eyes down the beach. The water color is gorgeous!
