Mendocino Coast Botanical Garden Part 1

Well, yes, this post is part 1. The garden is 47 acres of beautiful and serene, of organic and aromatic, of verdant and mysterious. I loved my visit here and to think I wasn't keen on visiting. Gardens are not on top of my must-see list when I visit a place, but I'm glad that I was persuaded to check it out.

The acreage is subdivided into many different gardens of interests, to name a few: Perennial Garden, Heaths and Heather Garden, Camelias, Succulents, Mediterranean Garden, Rhododendrons, Native Plants, Dahlias, Vegetable and Garden Orchard, Heritage Rose Garden.

There is even a miniature version of the hotel we were staying at the garden.

Sign that says easy 1/2 mile walk to the ocean bluffs wherein you get to pass varied landscape.

The scene just after the entrance is already splendid.

It's a botanical garden so let me show you some flower shots:

There is also this unfamiliar fir that looks so beautiful with its cone upright like a flower.

You bet I took a thousand photos in the garden that is why I'm posting this in batches, but you can always scroll left or right from any image here. It's a new thing that Flick'r is (I hope) experimenting with. Personally, I don't like it.

  10. Very beautiful garden, intensified by your photos. That is one thing lacking here, a wide and beautiful botanical garden. If only i have the money i will convert our property to one, haha! Flickr photos are really so beautiful, their programs make photos even more beautiful. I wonder why i stopped using it after getting a DSLR, lol.
