Car Show On A Beautiful Day

The past Sunday the city of Pinole (20 miles east of SF) held its 23rd annual car show. I've lived in Pinole for many years, but I haven't been to one of these summer showcase until this time. It helped that I was in the neighborhood (church was nearby) and the weather was incredibly gorgeous.

I always admire classic cars even though I know almost nothing about cars. In the past years, the cars used to occupy only the main road that was blocked from traffic, but now spill over the nearby city park including the baseball field next to the park. Since I know nothing of cars, I'd just show you some of the many cars that were on display.

This is my fave color although all the blue cars were really attractive.

The plaques were ready for awarding. We didn't stay for that.

Hope you all get to peek at our beautiful sky last Sunday despite all the incredible automobiles I've shown.

  1. Same here - know nothing about old cars, but it may be the nostalgia that draws me:) You commented on my blog that for the 4th of July you would watch old movies ...what about the World Cup?

  3. It's nice to see the tender-loving care that these cars receive! If you get a chance, you should try to go to "Hot Summer Nights" in Danville this summer. Look for it online. I'm not sure what their schedule is yet. You'll have lots of photo ops.

  19. Those are amazing old cars. Sorry, but we're keeping our rainclouds as we've had far too much drought and wildfires burned very close to our house last year!

  20. I enjoy browsing at a car show once in a while ... those people are really dedicated and they do seem to have fun. Of course for us, we remember some of the cars, although these you show seem even older than we are (and that is really old ;>Z)

  21. Wow! Those classic cars are really something. You can tell just how much the owners maintain them. I wonder if they're still up and running? They look like they're still in mint condition. The customized cars look absolutely amazing as well. I'm totally wishing I was able to drop by. I really missed out on that one. Hahaha! Thanks for sharing!
