Zion Day Trip Part 1

What a pleasant problem to face - what to do and see on a limited time in Zion. It's quite difficult to decide right there and then, especially when I have not done research prior to arrival. What is no brainer however is a visit to the Visitor's Center at the outset is a must.

There is no ugly corner in Zion as far as I am concerned.

There were a few people who were making a stop at the Visitor Center the same time we were there.

One of the attractions near the entry is the Court of the Patriarchs.

The Court of the Patriarchs is a set of peaks named after biblical characters Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

Honestly just joyriding at Zion Canyon Drive would be enough to satisfy me. How can it not be, the drive is so scenic. Every corner, every turn is a delight. This was my Disneyland.

At the end of Zion Canyon, the road stops at Temple of Sinawava, where the cliffs come together to form a parade leaving room only for the river and a very popular hiking trail: Riverside Walk Trail, originally called Gateway to the Narrows (coming in next post). Here we stopped to grab some lunch before heading out to the trail.

Nothing but beautiful vibrant blue skies accompanied us while we enjoyed Zion that day.
