Monterey Bay Aquarium: The Kelp Forest

The Kelp Forest exhibit at the Monterey Bay Aquarium is so engaging that no one would fault your for spending a large chunk of your visit time there. This post is pictorial in nature and if you want to learn more about it just click the link above.

Each time I come, I never skip spending time at gawking at the underwater life as seen through the 28 feet tank.

  5. I can't believe you've gotten such clear shots through the glass. If you had wanted, you could pretend it was really taken underwater. :D Do you dive? The underwater world is really amazing, esp here in the Philippines.

  12. I used to scuba dive. There were lots of similar creatures off Catalina Island. The larges fish I saw was a Nurse Shark near Ensenada. Swimming through a kelp forest was magical. - Margy
