Oxalis Season

On the drive down to Pescadero last month (post coming) we passed by fields of yellow. We thought they were the usual suspects - the rapeseed. But no! These were oxalis stricta. There were a few rapeseed but mostly oxalis. This is definitely oxalis season.

  6. Gorgeous yellows.. We have some yellow fields around her during spring --but don't think our is Oxalis. Love the individuals flowers .. So pretty.

I read somewhere that a type of Oxalis called Wood Sorrel is edible...

  21. for someone who doesn't know a thing or two between rapeseed and oxalis, i had to google search it and add these infos into my head. ^0^ i learned something today.
looking back, I would've always thought they were a field of sunflower of some sort...

the photos are equally stunning and the view was breathtaking.
