Barcelona Cathedral and Las Ramblas

Purposely skipping the Gaudi on-going masterpiece Sagrada Familia because I have visited it on previous trip and vowed to visit it once it is completed, we sought out Barcelona Cathedral which was closed for renovation on previous visit to the city. How lucky we were that it was open this time around and not too many people were visiting that early morning.

  18. I've been to Barcelona twice now, Maria, and would go back again if ever given the chance...especially to see the cathedral, which I have NOT yet seen. But on one trip we stayed in a hotel on La Rambla and absolutely loved it. We were able to come out on the balcony, just like Marilyn, to see the life below. What a great city!

  26. Love everything about this post! I saw the Cathedral from outside. Then, I discovered that it was free to enter (I messed up big time). Wish I could have seen it. Maybe on another trip.
