Marseille: Murals and Such

Perhaps there is a better, more efficient way to explore this port city in Southern France, but due to time constraints, we had to rely for part of the exploration to the ever reliable Hop On Hop Off bus tour. The Mediterranean weather in October was suitable to touring the city on top of the double decker bus.

Along the route we found a few interesting murals/graffitis and a couple of animal statues.

  1. What a colourful port ... and hop-on hop-off buses are a great way to take a look around cities.

  2. Without the bus tour I doubt you would have found so many interesting murals and sculptures.

  9. What a fine collection of murals - and the stag standing on his head...????!! The first one looks like it was inspired by the traditional tarot cards from that part of the world.

  14. I love street art--but we didn't see any when we visited Marsaille. Then again we were on foot and stuck to the old town core. Thanks for visiting outandaboutglobal--we have made some great memories and I am reminded of just how many when I look back upon old posts. It's a good life.
