Roadtrip to Yellowstone: Day 2 continuation

We began our day 2 with a little roadside stop at National Elk Refuge for some photography. Then we drove to Grand Tetons hoping for the same blue skies so we can catch a glimpse of the peaks that eluded us the day before. Thankfully, we have enough clearance to take some shots.

Day 2 was a very long day. Just too much things were seen and photographed and I thought it best to share in bite sized posts. Thank you for bearing with me. I can't seem to help myself limiting the number of photos I take in places like this, where it looks so beautiful and majestic, you have to slap your face to convince your self that you're not dreaming.

OUR WORLD TUESDAY

Comments

  1. It really is such a beautiful area. A beautiful corner of Wyoming -- and of the country really. But Wyoming is my least favorite state EXCEPT for this corner (Jackson Hole, Grand Teton, and the part of Yellowstone that borders it... if only the whole state could be this beautiful. (Unfortunately, we have driven many many times through the not-so-beautiful part going between our Colorado family and our Oregon one.... usually in too much of a rush to go out of our way). But we have done more than one planned roadtrip to this area and it is always worth it! Thanks for the beautiful pictures and the memories (and it is no wonder you can't narrow down the pics you show -- they are all perfect!)

  2. It is a spectacular setting. Perhaps one day I'll be able to see it with my own eyes. So glad you were able to get some good shots. Is that you in the photo? It's lovely to see your smiling face (if it's you) :-)

  4. Great photos of the Tetons. I don't think one can take too many photos of the area. It changes so much with the clouds, sun, smoke, mists, and light from day to day. It is wonderful.
