If it's white, it's frozen snow; when it's blue like this, it's frozen water. One of the coolest things I have ever seen in my life.Amateur photog's online photo cache. All photos are original pics taken by author and her husband. This is not a place to see those awe inspiring Ansel Adams, these are ordinary subjects shot on a whim most of the time.

Tracy Arm Fjord/Alaska II

The fjord is truly one of the most dramatic locations in Alaska, or in all of the world, for that matter. The sheer, glacier-carved walls are often shrouded in mist.
I find it surreal in a way to be floating alongside all the floating ice and the sky so gray, the icy wind lends itself to the total experience.

Tracy Arm Fjord/Alaska
Nestled between 3,000-foot high granite walls, the narrow, twisting slice of ocean called Tracy Arm Fjord weaves through the Tongass National Forest for roughly 35 miles. The shoreline is spotted with waterfalls created by melting snowcaps and trees sprouting at odd angles from rocky outcroppings.

Multnomah Falls
Plummeting 620 feet from its origins on Larch Mountain, Multnomah Falls is the second highest year-round waterfall in the United States. Multnomah Falls is part of the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area and is a short drive from Portland.[That's my hubby reloading his film camera. I love using digitial camera, no time lost for reloading.]

Interstate 80, west bound.
This part of I80 is always congested, being a part of the daily commute to San Francisco, Oakland and San Jose. Taken on a saturday after taking the University Ave exit in Berkeley. It is still busy even on the weekends.
