I have failed to mention that the fall colors entries I have posted so far are all from the archives. It's far too early for California to explode in colors. Although, the maples in my neighborhood are almost at their peak. I doubt that every where else are starting early.
Anyway, here's another shot from Plumas County, in the Northeastern Sierra some 200 miles away. Every two years I try to come and drive their scenic byways.
This one's from last October.
Amateur photog's online photo cache. All photos are original pics taken by author and her husband. This is not a place to see those awe inspiring Ansel Adams, these are ordinary subjects shot on a whim most of the time.

very very beautiful.
Wow, look at all those big trees. The foliage is gorgeous.
Heyy, you have a building for your photoblog! ;-)
Oh my God! Are those the colours you get to see everyday? Beautiful!
Thanks for visiting Norwich Daily Photo and leaving your comments. Have a great week!

Those colours are fantastic - we are in Spring down here at the moment so the colours we are seeing are very different. Although I have never really noticed those sort of colours down here in Autumn - I will have to take more notice of our surroundings. Enjoy your week.
Beautiful setting for a town!
Autumn has certainly arrived! I really love the smell and colors of autumn :D (Got the postcard?)
I like your last year's shot very much. Wonderful fall colors make it sing! Our trees are turning, some of them just brown, but others are getting pretty.
That wall of a forest in the background makes all the difference.
Very nice shot!
That's lovely! It is indeed worth a thousand words.
What a beautiful mountainside! I love the perspective in all your photos.
