Our friends were taking us to this authentic Vietnamese restaurant in the city one evening when while traversing Eastshore Freeway hubs reminded me to take a snap of this beautiful sunset. I was admiring it from the back seat with the camera in my lap without a thought of snapping it. He said this picture would be good for my drive-by series. No drive-by series, sky watch meme it is.
You can see a silhouette of Transamerica Building and Sutro Tower. There's the bay in between me and the city.
BTW, the food was excellent, the company terrific, and the evening was overall wonderful.

Sounds like a wonderful outing. I have never eaten Vietnamese food. I'll have to try that some time. I love this shot... the golden yellow and orange striking through the amazingly strewn cirrus... glad hubs nudged you on this one. Well worth holding onto this memory.

This time last year I was in Vietnam!!! Wonderful place and people and food. I have a Vietnam blog with all my photos on it.
How lucky to have both a great day out and amazing photo opportunity. Goes to show nature will turn shows on all the time in all kinds of places but we need to be ready to apprecaite them.
