Art
Inside the library, works of art are scattered everywhere. The marker says: Demetrius Phalereus (350-280 BC). The inspirer of the foundation of the Ancient Library.
Here are more works of art I noticed inside the library. Enjoy
This one is designed like a flowing, hanging curtain. Very pretty.
the art installation are interesting to look at, even when you don't know what it means sometimes. this is a really Huge library eh?! i think i like the 2nd one, i like its details. ^0^ happy weekend!
The pieces in the second and third photos are wonderful. The first one reminds me of the story of the old Alexandria bibliotheque and a movie I recently watched: The Agora.
I looked at the pictures in this blog from a long time ago....at least one month, that far behind am I, no excuse...erm...only one, I work full time and sleep full time to be able to work full time.... I admire your pictures and I love that you are able to visit all these special places in the world. Thank you for sharing this with us.
I love that last one! Although I used to teach art appreciation, I'm not sure I would enjoy talking about those pieces before the last one if not for an intellectual purpose.
Thanks for visiting Norwich Daily Photo and leaving your comment. Come visit again tomorrow!

i like the fourth picture. seductive. hehehe
for a country as ancient as Egypt, it is quite a stark contrast to see pieces of modern art.
