Time's Up In Malta

It is time to leave Malta.  My day's visit was short, but I think you'd agree that we made the most out of it.  Not only did we explore Valletta, we also managed to see outside of the capital by visiting Rabat.  Here are some of the scenes we saw.

Looking at the sign only made me realize that there was more to see outside of the capital city.

I wished I had more time to explore all the narrow streets of Rabat.

And indulge in my passion for photography.

And when we arrived back in Valletta, we did not see any stunning sunset, but the slight blush in the sky was more than enough to complete the experience.

And look who we found at the deck grabbing some snack?  The same couple we spent the day exploring Valletta.  While we boldly went to take the public bus and visit suburban Rabat, they stayed in Valletta and did a little bit of shopping.

And with this shot, we said goodbye to alluring Malta.  By the time the boat was sailing out of the harbour, we were tackling a multi-course Italian feast over at Papa's - the Italian specialty restaurant inside the boat.

I cannot believe that my three-week European vacation/cruise has eaten up almost a year's worth of postings here.  Don't worry, I'm at the finish line of my European stories.  Thanks for hanging in there with my trip.
