Sunset Over the Caribbean
LISTEN TO THE SUNSET
Listen to the sunset,
Hear its silent sigh
As it falls down the horisen
Warning, the moon is nigh
Listen to the sunset
Hear its silent threat
That darkness will be upon us
It makes everyone upset
Listen to the sunset
The vanity of its words
How beautiful this sunset is
With its colour, and birds
Listen to the sunset
See its pretty hue
But I cant enjoy the sunset
If I am not with you
All the pretty colours are meaningless
So are the birds, and the sounds
Because it all means nothing to me
If you are not around
Just remember this though,
Promise you wont forget,
Even if your far away,
We'll be watching the same sunset
So listen to the sunset
Enjoy its beauty true
When you see it, think of me
And I will think of you

ReplyDeleteBeautiful sunsets and I'm thinking about drinking one of those fun cruisey cocktails while watching them! Lovely way to move from day to night (knowing cruises I'm sure it wasn't the end of your day!). If those pretty words are from the Hunger Games, maybe I should read those books (or at least watch the movie).
ReplyDeleteA very pretty sunset and nice shots of it - you're making me remember my Caribbean cruise.
ReplyDeleteLike a gold coin slipping into piggy bank. Great series.

ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading this poem. I liked the "listen" approach to the sunset. Nice post.
ReplyDeleteStunning shots!
ReplyDeleteI think that might just be all that was needed on a cruise. :)
Hard to believe that someone's sunset is another person's sunrise. It looks as though it is just slipping over the edge of the world.
ReplyDeleteAwesome series of shots!
ReplyDeleteOh how beautiful!!!!
