Port of Call: Corfu Part 4 - The Cats at the Monastery
From my research for this trip I have learned that the Greek islands are the best spots for cat sightings. I was hoping I'd find them. And I did, at the monastery. A clowder was living there. Although, not all were healthy. It was tough to see the ones that were sick, flea infested and those that needed a ton of TLC. I shied away from the sick ones, and although I photographed a few of them, I am not going to show them here.
The mayor of the clowder welcomed me.
I repaid kindness with head scritch.
Another angle.
Outside the monastery, this orinj one was sunning itself.
But welcomed the hubby's welcome offering.
Inside the monastery compound, more cats were seen in the nooks and crannies, on roofs, in flowerbeds, etc.
This is for all my cat-loving friends.
