May Flowers

April showers bring May Flowers. I suppose that is so true. Yesterday (writing this on Thurs, May 2nd) we were at Home Depot to buy some tubing or something. We chose to enter the store through the nursery because we are currently redoing our front yard. We removed most of the flowering plants and I was thinking I'd just start a cactus or a succulent garden. But these May flowers seem to cast doubt on my decision.

We shall see what my garden will look like once the project is done. For sure, we will simplify and be minimalist and succulents would be part of it.

  3. They are beautiful and in the ā€œour former lifeā€ when we owned a home with a big yard, would have been tempting indeed. Now, I can walk through a garden store (or section) and admire, take pictures, and leave happy knowing I donā€™t have the work!

  4. I lived in the Tucson desert for a decade, and I found cactus & succulents require just as much work as "regular " flowers & shrubs. Now, our yard in Texas has hibiscus & sub-tropical plants/shrubs. One trimming a season, and we're done. (Except lawn mowing) I'd go on a shopping spree with the likes of these.

  8. The biggest bargain in town is that that nurseries along with Home Depot and other places that sell plants and flowers let you take photos for free!!
