Sky Watch #48

(My New York Minutes 3)

If there was one thing that I was consciously aiming for this NY trip was snapping as much skywatch entries as possible. I honestly did not think we would have time to go to Manhattan due to our tight schedule and short stay, so the minute the taxi when into motion, so did my shutter. Here's one of those drive by shots where I watched the blue skies through the still bare limbs. I saw the birds after I uploaded the images on my PC.

Lovely! the trees look like lace.

You have done well to capture this from a moving vehicle. The sky and cloud through the branches is soft and muted.
Lovely.

Nice shot and I'm with you on the drive-by's. Sometimes it's your only chance to get pictures and then you're pleasantly surprised! Good job!

That's a drive by shot! Really Sharp shooting.Adds to the adrenalin sometimes the mystery of what you may have snapped. I've a tribute tonight to a NY blogger who has just closed his blog.

Isn't it fun to find something unexpected after taking a photo. I really like the delicate, budding tree limbs against the light blue sky.

Such a pretty shot! I love the trees and sky but the row of houses is just beautiful.

The birds are a nice touch-- I love getting a 'surprise' when I load the photos into the computer, and I see something there that I didn't see through the camera. So I smiled to read your comment there.

That's a great drive by shot! What a lot of trees there are there. It must be so nice and shady in the summertime when they're all full of leaves. Looks like you made the most of your New York Minutes!

It's an impressive shot, it's not how one would frame it when standing there, no it's much better, fresh, original.

A fine drive-by shot with excellent sharpness and detail. I like the happy accidental recording of the birds in the tree. Fine shot.

But the trees are bear? When did you take this one? :)

Nice shot. I noticed the birds almost right away but if I'd taken this I don't think I would have noticed them until I got home too.

I'm surprised the trees are still so bare.
