SkyWatch #56

hanging at the y, originally uploaded by M'roy.

This summer I have seen so many foggy mornings and foggy early evenings that aside from may be 5 days of hot temperatures, I would have thought we missed summer altogether.

Today again, as I drove from my house to work (21 miles) @ 9:45 to 10:15 , there's nothing but fog. I know later in the day the fog will eventually burn and the sun will shine for a little while.

But as soon as I clock out at 7 pm tonite, I am pretty sure the commute will be fog-shrouded again. So I thought I'd show you how the sky has been around, as I've seen it. This was a February snap though. I have nothing new to show, but this gives you an idea.

I call this shot, HANGING AT THE Y.

SKYWATCH is a weekly gathering of sky lovers and skywatchers. Why don't you join us?

I empathize with you! Until a few days ago it was so cold that we thought we were going to miss summer this year. But it finally arrived! Maybe it's on its way to you. ;-)

I really like this shot!

Sad to hear about the weather.
In Sweden we just have had rain all summer.
Better days are coming our way! :)

I love this shot. It's like the birds put on a show just for skywatch.

We have had a lot of skies this summer, like the one I showed. Lots of clouds but also the blue breaking through.

The birds make the shot work quite well. We can't help our weather, but we don't have to like it! ;-)

Sometimes the shot is worth the fog, the gray etc etc etc, and this is definitely one of those! And I love the title!

Have a great week!

Fun photo for Sky Watch Friday, how nice of the birds to hang around to add to your picture.

To answer your question, one of my other favorite cities would be Boston, mix of old and new, lots of creative things going on there and lots of photo opportunities.

Love the title! That looks exactly what they are doing! We haven't had much summer either. Yesterday was hot, though, so I took a cup of tea out to the lawn and am covered in bites!

If you had foggy weather, we're having a muggy week here in NY. Too bad! I'd rather have a foggy day, it's gives more drama to photos.
