Ruins at Dhaka Christian Cemetery
Another hidden gem I discovered in the heart of Dhaka are these ruins dating back from 1600 and 1700. The tombs of English colonizers are made of clay and bricks mostly. I have seen one dating back in the 1700, but most of them no longer have their writings visible/clear. I have googled for information about these ruins but I am left unsuccessful. They have amazingly withstood all the harsh elements.
An old cemetery for sure! great pics!

I don't know why but I love cemeteries... and this one looks great !
ReplyDeleteWhat an exotic final resting place--thanks for the photos. As for my flowering tree, I'm sure it's not a rhododendron. I'm thinking it's some sort of cherry tree.
