Photo Hunt #4: Wrinkled

Photo Hunt #4: Wrinkle, originally uploaded by airam94564.

I have a difficult time finding a photo that fits this week's theme. But here's my entry for this week, the old fashioned glove at AT&T Park, the home of the Giants. It is wrinkled. It has wrinkles---that's where it fits the theme :=)

Since the opening of the park on March 31, 2000, fans have been waiting for major leaguers to hit the glove, which has a distance of 518 feet from the home plate to the pocket of the glove. No one has hit a ball that far yet.

Will continue Virginia City series after this post.

Please click on image if you don't see a complete picture. Thanks.

  1. This is fascinating! Yes, the glove is wrinkled, but all those people at the bottom create a "wrinkled" Mexican wave effect with all that scrunch of colour!

  6. Very nice shot! I heard that AT&T Park is such a beautiful and modern stadium, especially the box seats. I've driven by it a number of times whenever I was in SF but so far I haven't had the chance to see a game there. I hope to do so someday. :)

  7. The gigantic Coke and glove are amazing structures.

It would be a spectacular feat if the ball reaches that far.
