Heart of the Matter
Can you guess what this is?
I'm taking a short blog break and here's why:
*there is scrubbing, mopping, sweeping, dusting, swiffering to be done
*the "good china" needs to breathe some autumn air before the turkey lands on it
*there is last-minute checking of ingredients and running to the store for those left out from the grocery list
*the beddings need replacing and with thicker material to accommodate the dipping nocturnal temps
*there is of course peeling, paring, chopping, slicing, dicing, sauteing, baking, and cooking to be done
*there is chatting with friends and family over some good food and fabulous wine
*when the day of thanks is over, i celebrate my hubs personal day with a day trip [had to forego an over-niter] somewhere closer and with a little coastline to walk the turkey off, not very difficult to find here
*and I'm hoping to see James Bond and experience some Twilight moments.
So I shall see you all after the Thanksgiving Holidays. Hope you have a quiet and wonderful time with your family/ies.
Arrrgh, I haven't noticed the comment thingy before. So now I did and can leave a mark. Excellent detail in the flowers over the last number of days. Happy chopping and drinking over the poor turkey. Remember the ozone.
ReplyDeleteIt is very pretty, though I don't know what it is. Have a wonderful time with your family.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting Norwich Daily Photo and leaving your comments. Sorry for a delayed visit. I had no Internet for a couple of days, and even now it's crawling.

Oooh, by the way, James Bond is absolutely fantastic, the best ever in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteWithout wishing to spoil the film for you, an amazing thing you know, he doesn't die at the end! .....d'oh, now I've ruined it for you Ha ha
I'm guessing it's a marigold but whatever it is it's a gorgeous shot.
ReplyDeleteThe muscovy duck really was chasing me. I had to keep moving backyards to take that shot. I was reading about them a while back and read some people call them turkey ducks so I figured for my thanksgiving WW post, I'd go with that title. Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving! Hope the turkey does not taste "fowl"!
ReplyDeleteI first thought it was the inside of a tulip, but I'm not so sure
ReplyDeleteOh my the shutter-shooters are here for a visit. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteYes Ellie, this is the heart of a tulip.
