Sky Watch #22

Been doing a little tidying up the pictures folders when I serendipitously bump into this shot. I thought this is the perfect entry for me this week.
I was a tad sad yesterday for reasons I wasn't aware of until hours after posting yesterday's image. Today is my father's death anniversary so I guess feeling melancholic is but normal. However, bloghopping over to Tiff's blog did give me that boost that I get only from a strong caffeinated joe. Imagine my glee to see Tracy elegantly trying to wolf down a pork sandwich the size of a piglet :) Thanks.
I would imagine that melancholy is quite normal. Bless you in your grief. Beautiful capture... almost as if your father is looking down upon you. :O)
ReplyDeleteI also thought the same thing about this image.
ReplyDeleteI like the rays coming down, this is a perfect photo for peacefulness...
ReplyDelete(what's up with swf main blog? its 7:40pm and no post yet? :D) Hope you're enjoying it there. ;-)

A beautiful and crisp image. Sad that you have to miss your father.
ReplyDeleteI´ve just came back home from a short walk. The winter is howling outside, the temperature is so low that even my teeth were freezing when I smiled for a while.
ReplyDeleteAnd now, sitting with the hot tea, I saw your photo. And it brought me back to summer, holidays and I felt sunshine on my face for a while. Thank you.
Funny how the mind works, the photo is wonderful. Glad your friend could lift your spirits.
ReplyDeleteI am sorry for your loss. May memories, filled with joy for times shared with him, fill your thoughts now.

Those ray from the sun was a giant catch - especially combine with wave from the boat.

ReplyDeleteAahh. You know what we'd say to that - syempre pag may nawala sayo na mahal mo, expected na ang isip at katawan ay maaalala ang okasyon. Hope you're feeling better now. Think happy :D Your father would rather you did that.

What a gorgeous image - the rays shining down are awesome!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you found it again to share with us.
I hope your memories of your father gives you some peace.
This is a magnificent photograph, one worthy of a frame. Blogging is certainly good medicine for us when we are down in the dumps. I've been feeling a bit that way myself lately, and so I escape into my blogging world where all my friends show such grand photographs that can't help but make me smile. My own parents are looking down on me, as I know your father is. And I know it doesn't help much but I do understand. Sending a hug from here in Northern Virginia :)
ReplyDeleteSky and sea, and a personal meaning of both in this picture for you. Worth a thousand words, indeed!
ReplyDeleteNature is truly beautiful! Happy weekend! Hope you can have time to visit my corner too...
