Amazing views, night and day are a good comparission, thanks for sharing with us all in sky watch friday.
ReplyDeleteExcellent contrast! Is this Vegas? How do you know that one day shots like this may not be the Ansel Adams of the 21st century? :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a difference a day makes! Stunning views!
ReplyDeleteI tend to prefer the night view. It's really beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLooks much better at night.
ReplyDeleteOh I love comparison shots...I think the night one is my fave....love the lights...but I also like the day shot...so much depth....love the mountains...
ReplyDeleteNice shots! Both day and night shots are great! But the architecture is stunning :)
ReplyDeleteGreat posting for two contrasting time of day. Dark sky in the night and clear blue sky in broad daylight.
ReplyDeleteThese are fun, thanks :)
ReplyDeleteYou must have been up pretty high to capture such wonderful day and night shots... they are fantastic!
ReplyDeleteI'm watching the tail end of Ocean's Eleven, they just finished robbing The Bellagio. Vegas must be a fascinating place. Nice SWF shots!
ReplyDeleteI am just waiting for Nick Stokes & Cathrine to arrive at your photo;)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cityscapes. I like the night view especially.
ReplyDeleteAwesome captures! The night shot is gorgeous. I love taking shots from a higher vantage point than just ground level - gives a whole different perspective.
ReplyDeleteThanks for reminding me of SkyWatch - I had forgotten, but I got my post up now!!!
No contest for me - night wins! But on the other hand, day has a real sweeping vista and skyview, so, okay, it's a tie!
ReplyDeleteFantastic -- love the drama of the night, but the openness of the day! Terrific shots! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI like both photos, but I prefer the night shot. The lights are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteExcellent contrast in photos, the night one is definately my favourite.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.

ReplyDeleteThe stratosphere is so impressive!
ReplyDeleteWait. Is this still Vegas, Maria? Dumb question, probably. I can tell it more from the night shot than the day shot!
ReplyDeleteI like the contrasting shots.
ReplyDeleteSydney - City and Suburbs
Nice to see a day and night picture of the same place...

ReplyDeletei see from your earlier posts that you're at circus circus, right? i'm like you, not a vegas kind of gal. but there are things i have found that i love there. old school vegas is one of them. nice fun shots and i enjoy your repartee as well! thanks for visiting life illustrated.
ReplyDeleteVery nice contrast between day and night...
ReplyDeleteGreat captures !!
I like them both...Reminds me of when you travel to a new place and arrive at night in the dark. Then you look out the window, go to bed, and then wake up to daylight and check out the new view...totally different!
ReplyDeleteViva Las Vegas skies! Now I can't get the tune "Night & Day" you are the one, out of my head. Thanks, I think :-)

Is this Vegas? Great shots and not a bad view at all! :-)
ReplyDeleteNight and day, yu are the one...
ReplyDeletebeautiful contrast between the dynamics in both shots.
coool!
ReplyDeleteNice shots - the night time one is my favourite, I like how the city is bright, but you can still see to the edge of the darkness. Is this las Vegas? I've never been, but know it's in a desert..
ReplyDeleteAs much as the sky, I'm struck by the swimming pool in the foreground - sandwiched between a road and an RV park. Suppose it's got to go somewhere!
ReplyDeletethe place seems to still have enough space for more structures.
ReplyDeleteThese are very grand. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful at day time and striking at night.
