Playing the Tourist
The visit to Barcelona brought out the tourist in me. I played the role to the hilt. And one of the touristy things we did was to buy a ticket to the hop on hop off bus, as I have mentioned at the beginning of this Barcelona series. I must say that it's a wise move to do this, especially if you have very limited time to stay in a city.
Here are some more of the sights I have seen and snaps I have taken while the bus was in motion.
A very interesting sculpture near the port.
Love urban street scenes.
Didn't I tell you I love street scenes?
Wide thoroughfare with fountain at the end, do you see it?
Entry to the zoo. Did not get a chance to visit.
I cannot remember exactly where this was. For most of that day, our first whole day, the sky was overcast and the temp was mild.

My eyes were instantly glued to the scupture on the top photo. Never seen anything like it. Very interesting.
ReplyDeleteI'd surely enjoy the bus ride with this much to see.
ReplyDeleteA fine little tour a this beautiful and original city Maria!
ReplyDeletei enjoy the street scenes, too. i agree, the sculpture is interesting. thanks for taking us with you to Barcelona.
ReplyDeletehaha, i can relate with forgetful scenes. ^0^
ReplyDeleteit's hard to remember all of them at that moment, nonetheless, the fotos are awesome, it's like you're taking us on a bus ride and yes, i could see the fountain from afar and the urban streets and bldgs. are a sight to watch. ^0^
i also did the hop on hop off bus. it's a lot easier to see a lot of places in Barcelona. the trains are also great, but while i was there, for some reason it wasn't running =(. great pics!
ReplyDeleteNo traffic jams!? I don't see much vehicles on the roads. Lovely place, wish you could post more photos. :)
ReplyDeleteVery nice views of Barcelona. The bus rides often give the opportunity to take many interesting photos of the towns. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThru your lens, I see a great city rich in culture and architecture!
ReplyDeletehow beautiful!! I want to play tourist again soon! ;-)
ReplyDeletePlay it safe in these places...watch your pockets. My hubby's was almost picked by two 12 or 13 year olds, by the Sagrada Familia. They are everywhere.
ReplyDeletelovely thoroughfares.. you have an eye for it.
ReplyDeleteBarcelona is indeed beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the photos.
I love Barcelona!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the pictures!
The architecture of the buildings is very interesting, the streets seem to be very clean. Notwithstanding the grey skies and moody weather, it seems to be a good day to hop on the bus and shoot away :)
ReplyDeleteThose hop on/off buses are exactly perfectly for such limited times, Maria. We took that very same trip. So glad you were able to see these things with your own eyes. Barcelona is one of my favorite cities in the world.
ReplyDeletei wouldn't mind being a tourist with these to see!
ReplyDeleteWOW.... you sure do a lot of travelling cache... the photos are awesome.... the architecture is out-of-this-world beautiful!...
ReplyDeletei enjoyed immensely!
