i love those narrow sidewalks with the gorgeous buildings on either side. very nicely captured!
ReplyDeleteYour right, foot is the best way to see a city and you don't have to worry about dead ends and one way streets. Of course, you do have to worry about getting yourself in to unsafe areas.
ReplyDeletei too love arches and great european architectures.
ReplyDeleteI am like you...I love to get lost in a city...walk the streets and discovering the city.
ReplyDeleteYou love all the same things I love, Maria...especially in Barcelona!
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful views, Maria. The arches remind me of our arcades here in Turin (about 13 km in the whole town!). I also like the narrow streets: there are so many perspectives to enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI like all the arches as well!
ReplyDeleteAnd walking around is a great exercise too.
ReplyDeletewalking is the best way to see around, and those pictures make it so real for us
ReplyDeletei agree, that's the best way to get to know a city... i've found that recently too...
ReplyDeleteit's in those silent and noisy walks you go through that you get to enjoy its surroundings.
ps: like the depth of the 2nd foto, an arch within an arch. ^0^
i haven't been checking your blogs lately. but i do agree walking around a lovely place like this on a vacation. you'd learn a lot more of the place k'se. :)
ReplyDeletei wouldn't mind walking these streets all day!
ReplyDeletesimply lovely!
I can't agree more with this: "The best way to get to know the city is to walk its streets." And these are such beautiful streets and alleys.
ReplyDeleteAnd your photos show well what you can find if you pound the streets! :)
ReplyDeletethat is true. by walking your get to actually see every details of the places you see - the architectures, the people, etc. by walking to, you get to discover things that you've not seen before.
ReplyDeletealso walking is good for the heart hahaha
oh my, wowowowowow!! barcelona is so beautiful, i'm on the verge of tears thinking i might never see it w my own eyes!!! i can tell you love arches :)
ReplyDeletei take comfort in looking at barcelona through your eyes.., such a treasure!! :)
I agree! If only we had pavements to walk on in this city instead of being greeted by sidewalk vendors who peddle their wares. Tsk tsk :D
ReplyDeleteI love alleys, walking in and getting lost. Doing the non-touristy things while the weather is nice.
