Room Service, anyone?

As Day 4 was winding down, I was feeling more lethargic than relaxed. The sea breeze had picked up and was much cooler. I may have caught a chill or something. Sitting to dinner with a roomful of other diners did not appeal to me at all. Thankfully, husband wasn't feeling up to dining out either so we called for room service.
The salad looked wimpy, or must be due to the subdued lighting in our cabin. But don't be fooled by the blah image, it was very good starter. The leaves look very soaked, but I didn't think there was too much dressing there.
I have sworn not to eat any more lobster. I was successful for five years, until that day when I chose lobster and halibut for my entree. The sauce had just the right amount of richness to it, even though it looks rich on the photo. The halibut was outstanding. The lobster? I haven't had a lobster that blew me out of the park. Where can I get a good lobster??????
Hubs chose duck confit for his main dish. It was outstanding. I've never had any duck meal that I didn't like :D
The creme brulee was as expected good, although I don't eat too much of it.
My dessert of choice is this cappuccino mouse. Just delicious.

I hoped that this meal would be substantial enough for the day we are going to have tomorrow.

  2. @ PRINCESS DYANIE - I binged on lobster one time eating about 8 of them in one sitting. Bad idea. I vowed not to eat any more lobster after that.

  6. I could eat lobster once in a while - too rich in cholesterol! BTW, do you have to give tip right away after the room service or is the tip something that's "pooled" at the end of the trip?

  7. Just the thought of eating in a moving ship, whether in the dining room or the bedroom, is making my tummy feel queasy. I don't think I'll survive a cruise…

The food looks delicious though. But in a restaurant on land please. :)

  10. @ BW - I agree, but I was really feeling lousy that night and I didn't want to miss out on eating (ngek!) so we called for room service.

@ LAWSTUDE - Neither am I. I'd rather go out and sit in a room enjoying a meal and people watching at the same time :D

@ LUNA - I should go where the the lobster are. I'll try my darnedest to like lobster again.

  11. @ NOMADIC - true, although cholesterol was not the major point that soured me from lobster, twas the taste. As regards to the tip, each person gets charged 10 dollars per day for tips so there really is no need to tip the waiters or the ones who clean up your room.

@ HILDA - with technology so advanced you could hardly feel any movement or rocking of the ship. They stabilized them so well.

  12. @ SYEL - I'll take crab (chili crab especially) over lobster any day.

@ DONG - Yap I love dessert and sorry about the misspelling of mousse :) I just saw it.
