Shots By The Corniche
The Corniche offers great views from the taxi ride from the Library on the way to the Citadel, which is the western end of the Corniche. These sights leave no question as to why Alexandria is a popular summer resort spot for many people coming from other parts of Egypt and the Middle East. And since this is not America, our driver pulled over the side of the street and allowed us to quickly leap out and take our shot.
i'm torn between the 3rd and 4th picture. ^0^
ReplyDeletethe place just looks so idyllic.
Love those colorful boats waiting to head out to sea. You sure managed to squeeze in a lot of sightseeing on his trip! I've really enjoyed looking at your photos and reading your commentary. It's too bad Europe and the Middle East are so far from home in California...so many fascinating places to see but so far away. I really hope to visit Egypt and Morocco one day.
ReplyDeleteWonderful captures Maria. The tones are superb!
ReplyDeleteLove those colourful little boats. And your last photo captured the sparkles in the water! Great!
ReplyDeleteRe your question: Macau had many very rude people (bus and taxi drivers, merchants, etc) and gross in certain cases (like spitting on the hotel carpet while playing in the casino). It was difficult as well that unless they were Pinoy migrant workers, people didn't speak English, Spanish, Portuguese or any other language I could understand - which made the trip really challenging. And since we're vegetarian and pescotarian, life was made even harder! Also, aside from the pretty lights, there's nothing beautiful there. But that's just my opinion. I do, however, still intend to visit other parts of China like Beijing, Shanghai and the countryside.
Thanks for visiting Norwich Daily Photo and leaving your comment. Come visit again tomorrow!
You had some great drivers to allow you to step out and take these.
