Happy Hour
This local hangout is a few yards away from the multiplex, a perfect location for the after-movies munchies. That's how we discovered it. They have a sign outside announcing that their happy hour is on 7 days a week. Nothing around these parts, as far as we know, offer happy hour deals on the weekend. So one day after the movies - we don't buy food in the cinema, too expensive - we thought we'd try their happy hour. We have been back many times since that first time.
The last time was to meet up with friends and watch the first game of the Giants-Rangers World Series featuring a Lincecum-Lee match. Of course the Giants won, which only made the experience more fun.
Their happy hour deal is pretty good.
Free popcorn while you wait for your order to be served.
The $3 beer.
The $3 margarita.
The $3 spinach dip. (They ran out of nachos that day)
The $3 onion ring.
The $3 mozarella sticks.
The $3 wings.
The game was long so hubs and I decided to split a burger. The burger was mediocre but the fries were good.
The bar was full so we just took a table next to a tv.
I am supposed to meet my husband and some friends over there again today after work and Tim Lincecum is pitching against Lee. The same match-up from Game 1. I don't wanna jinx it, but I hope tonight's the night.
If and when the Giants win their first World Series as a San Francisco franchise tonight, the city and the region would have happy hour all night long.
Great advertising here! Very colorful shots and tempting too! Go Giants!
ReplyDeletesasabihin ko pa naman sana mukhang yummy yung burger kaso nabasa ko comment mo hehe. in fairness malaki yung mga mozzarella sticks ah. dito kasi ang papayat haha! :))
ReplyDeleteThis is inspiring a night time snack for me.
ReplyDelete$3 Margarita....I guess you had to pay $12-15 here in Norway....I'm getting hungry looking at this - half an hour to lunch :)
ReplyDeleteI am lucky because it's time for lunch here so I won't wish desesperately that food.
