A Day In The City
And so on February 9, we did such a thing. The main purpose for coming to the city was the annual San Francisco Giants Fanfest. This would be our second time to go.
It was a clear day in February, plenty of sunshine.
Cloudless blue.
We got lucky and found street parking some 5-6 blocks from the park and had this view while walking.
Walked past this quiet neighborhood.
Simultaneously the Animal Rescue Group was conducting a Furfest just a few yards from the park.
We're almost there.
The park's address is 24 Willie Mays Plaza.
Can't wait to get in.
They are the defending World Series champions coming into the 2013 season.
40,000 strong was the number of people in attendance.
Sports Radio station KNBR 680 sponsored the affair and set up shop broadcasting their shows live from the field.
Others either bought or brought snacks and just soaked up the sun in the bleachers.
We walked around the park exploring nooks we don't normally get to see and take photos from that vantage point.
Sergio Romo (left) and Ryan Vogelsong (middle) answered questions from the audience at the Q&A stage.
On the way out we saw the manager, Bruce Bochy signing autographs.
On the way back to the car, we passed:
This beautiful day is not over yet.
To be continued........
