New Orleans: Drive By Shots & Photo Walk

The Garden District is one of the must visit spots in the Big Easy; it has been placed as a National Historic Landmark and one of the best places to see best-preserved southern mansions. Many famous people live here, including Anne Rice. You know how I've been going ga-ga over architectural housing designs lately. So we drove by very very slowly ogling at beautiful houses, daydreaming and forever curious about the interiors.

Squirrel stopped in the middle of the road.

When the drive by DIY tour of the Garden District was completed, we went to meet our friends for lunch at the Riverwalk, a shopping and eating area by the river front. Not wanting to pay so much for parking lots, we drove around looking for metered street parking. We found our spot a few blocks away, giving me the chance to do a photo walk on the way to our lunch.

We parked at the Peter's Street. I took a photo just in case I forgot where I parked.

Across from the Riverwalk Marketplace is the famous Mulate's, one of the restaurants most locals recommend to visitors. Pity we didn't get to eat there.
