It's Time to Smell the Roses
I'm taking a break from posting colorful Venetian architecture to give way to colorful and fragrant roses. You see this afternoon (Sunday) we went to see if the roses at the Berkeley Rose Garden are in bloom. It is after all mid April and the weather had been warm. Unfortunately though the garden is not in full bloom yet, but there were roses that blossomed early so we were not fully disappointed. Plus, it was such a pleasant sunny day, a gorgeous day to be out and about.
Here are the pictures I took of the short visit.
Rose may be my most favorite of all flowers. I cannot be sure. However, what I know for a fact is that I just adore roses. I hope we could find a way to be back here in the summer time when the garden is in full bloom.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful roses ... They bloom earlier in sunny California than they used to in oregon. Hope they get the water they need ..... I think that one yellow and red one is called Double Delight ... We used to have that one in our yard and it smells really good besides being beautiful.
