Browsing at the Boqueria
Back to Barcelona we went after the memorable Venice stay and Greek islands cruise. We had a more or less 2 days to enjoy the sights and taste of this most appealing city. We booked our hotel a block from the very dynamic Las Ramblas, because we enjoyed this spot and the market so much on our first visit five years previous.
I must say that I wish I had more time to spend here, but we made the most of whatever time we had. And no visit to Barcelona is complete without paying a visit to the famous Mercat de San Joseph de Boqueria. This place is a veritable foodie Disneyland. The smells, sights, tastes - an unforgettable experience.

I see what you mean. I could spend all day wandering around this food market. Too bad we don't have 4 stomachs like cows so we could taste nearly everything.

ReplyDeleteLove, love, love Barcelona! It's a city I can return to again and again. When we decided to leave Germany I begged my husband to get a job there, but alas, we moved to Saudi.
