Marseille: Murals and Such
Perhaps there is a better, more efficient way to explore this port city in Southern France, but due to time constraints, we had to rely for part of the exploration to the ever reliable Hop On Hop Off bus tour. The Mediterranean weather in October was suitable to touring the city on top of the double decker bus.
Along the route we found a few interesting murals/graffitis and a couple of animal statues.

What a colourful port ... and hop-on hop-off buses are a great way to take a look around cities.
ReplyDeleteWithout the bus tour I doubt you would have found so many interesting murals and sculptures.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool city, I like the sculptures. The bus seem like a great way to get around. Wonderful post and photos. Have a happy week ahead!
ReplyDeleteI would love to tour on top of that bus ... And hop on/off is perfect. Vibrant colors and designs in those murals ...
ReplyDeleteThat's quite the mixture of art you found - formal and informal, beautiful and not so beautiful...
ReplyDeleteso much cool things to see. :) What happened to that deer?
ReplyDeleteHi! The mural graffitis are very interesting. Thanks for sharing.

ReplyDeleteWhat a fine collection of murals - and the stag standing on his head...????!! The first one looks like it was inspired by the traditional tarot cards from that part of the world.
ReplyDeleteA fine collection of street shots of the murals and other interesting items along the route.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Graffitis and some very interesting sculptures. I love them.

Poor upside-down deer! Great murals and shots.
ReplyDeleteVery colourful!
ReplyDeleteCool except I am feeling sorry for the upside-down reindeer. ;))
ReplyDeleteI love street art--but we didn't see any when we visited Marsaille. Then again we were on foot and stuck to the old town core. Thanks for visiting outandaboutglobal--we have made some great memories and I am reminded of just how many when I look back upon old posts. It's a good life.
ReplyDeleteI love that DNA-inspired art, and i don't know the meaning of an inverted animal in there, haha!
