Roadtrip to Pacific Northwest: Pike Place Market
Well, we did visit the market 3x during our 3-day Seattle leg of the road trip and each time I couldn't just look, I have to photograph as well.
The market carries most everything you need or want, fresh produce, meat products, fresh seafood, flowers, etc. Artisans bring their produce and their creations. Too many things to see which makes one's head spin if you're not careful. Sometimes, too overwhelming.
By the way, the original Starbucks cafe is somewhere here. We never got around to visiting it. People say the lines are migraine-inducing, so we passed. Lately, long lines are my pet peeves.
Here are the photos of our visits to Pike Place Market.
At Beecher's Hand Made cheese you can get sandwich and eat while you watch them make cheese. The chairs are large milk jugs.
On one visit, we got lucky with the sunset.

ReplyDeleteHello, the market place is awesome. Love the gorgeous sunset photos. Happy Friday, enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteIt's been a few years now since I've seen Pike Place Market. I always enjoyed visiting there when I lived more or less nearby, in British Columbia, right by the US/Canada border. The market, the ferry heading out, the wonderful sunset...beautiful photos! (Now I'm homesick, but hoping to get to The Wet Coast if the floods in the interior of British Columbia let up.)
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing one of my favourite places.
