Road Trip to Yellowstone: Sylvan Lake

Twilight time of day 2 found us in Alpine country, most specifically in Sylvan Lake. The lake was so picturesque and so peaceful that we stopped to take photos despite the bad lighting and slushy conditions on the ground. It would be tough if one of us would lose our footing and so carefully we got out of the car and took only a few photos. Another car passed by and also stopped take photos. I googled photos of the lake in daylight, I must say it's beautiful as well, but we're glad we stumbled upon it at this time.

This historic lodge was our tepee for the night. What a full day of sightseeing!

  3. Beautiful photos, My parents lived for years after their retirement in Idaho, about a 100 miles from Yellowstone and I never went to Yellowstone in the winter but I visited them a lot in the winter and the light was similar to what you found at the lake in these pics. You did a great job with it.
