SF Bay Area: Petrified Forest
Thus, we wanted this weekend to be chill and relaxing. We browse at the Events happening nearby, and there are plenty due to Father's Day Holiday, but they were mostly street fairs with tons of food. Street fairs were not something we wanted to do. I suggested a drive to Napa Valley and maybe walk around the vineyards. That always relaxes me. He agreed, but not do the vineyards walk, but revisit Petrified Forest in Calistoga, a spot we last visited about 15 years ago.
How wonderful to return to the Petrified Forest after all those years. There have been many improvements throughout the years. I remember that I saw a post on Petrified Forest by a fellow blogger a few months ago and that spurred my desire to revisit it.
There is a guided tour twice a day, but we came a bit late. However, we caught up with the tour group later on.
And even though it's late spring, there was proliferation of wildflowers, which pleased me so much.
