A Walk in the Woods
Photos from Huckleberry Park in the Oakland Hills. Quotes about walking in the woods from all over the net.
"Most men take the straight and narrow. A few take the road less traveled. I choose to cut through the woods."
"I took a walk in the woods and came out taller than the trees."
"In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks."
"To walk in nature is to witness a thousand miracles."
"Of all the paths you take in life, make sure a few of them are dirt."
"Let's take our hearts for a walk in the woods and listen to the magic whispers of old trees."
"And into the forest I go to lose my mind and find my soul."
[I'll be continuing the long-delayed account of Canary Islands cruise next post.]
I love moss - and this post is full of moss on those wonderful craggy trees! Looks like a huge nest in the net to last photo - is it?
ReplyDeleteWonderful shots of your walk in the wood. I like walking in the woods too. I don't get to forests as much as I like. There are woodland trails in the suburban parks where I walk that I walk on when I'm tired of paved lake paths but not like a forest where I can walk and not see many if any people.
ReplyDeleteReally a lovely post Maria...and like you I really enjoy that kind of walks and don’t get to do one often enough.
ReplyDeleteIt's always wonderful to take walks in nature.
ReplyDeleteSo green and so beautiful. These pictures remind me of Hoh Rainforest in WA.
ReplyDeleteAway from the traffic and into the woods. The trees leaning in seem to say it’s the best way to relax and put life in perspective.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos here!

Love how those little mushrooms are poking their heads out. Bush walks are good.
ReplyDeleteA lovely series of woodland photos, accompanied by some wonderful quotes also - I quite like: I took a walk in the woods and came out taller than the trees.
